CONCOURSE

Your Concourse site will be on Seminary Ridge, which is on the western edge of Gettysburg at the Lutheran Theological Seminary.  This very special place played a key role in the first day’s battle in July 1863.   General Buford went to the rooftop cupola and observed the Confederate troops approaching from the west.  From this vantage point, Buford also recognized the importance of the high ground to the east at Cemetery Ridge.

In addition to our Packards, some special attractions will be available during the meet, including an open house of the Adams County Historical Society (located in Old Dorm) and organ music in the chapel by Professor Stephen P Folkemer of the Seminary faculty.  For those who select it, a buffet lunch will be available in the Refectory, so bring chairs and enjoy the great setting under the trees!

Shuttle buses will be available for those who want to visit downtown Gettysburg or the Outlet Mall.
