The 2009 All Packard Swap Meet at the Frederick Fairgrounds
took place in a different building. This new building was filled to capac-
ity with vendors, many of them new. More vendors than we have had for
quite a few years. If any additional sellers had shown up on Saturday, the
dining area would have had to go! The variety of items offered for sale,
new and used, was also on the upside.
The weather was at times atrocious, with occasional heavy down-
pours driving the car viewers inside. This probably helped increase the
foot traffic looking over the vendor's wares. All in all, the atmosphere
inside was busy.
Speaking of Packards, there was a surprising number in atten-
dance given the weather conditions. Ross Miller's latest project in prog-
ress, a custom-ordered roadster coupe, attracted a lot of attention.
A reminder for next year-- if you want this event to continue, you must
support it with your business.
